XD

(fyi, BECK is a japanese anime about a rock band.)

Plot Summary: Tanaka Yukio, better known by his nickname Koyuki is a 14 year old who feels disconnected from life in general. Through the act of saving a mismatched dog, he meets guitarist Minami Ryuusuke, and becomes involved in Ryuusuke's new band BECK. Koyuki's life starts to change as the band struggles towards fame.

Look at that baby! So perfectly drawn in anime form. T.T gorgeous.
I

YOUTube.

Well, let's just say that I've never believed YouTube to be home to the most entertaining videos nor an unfailing shelter to the bored and desperate. But my dear Ju has shown me otherwise. XP

It's some guy called Rob Paravonian who's apparently some musical comedian? He's dissing Pachalbel's Canon in D. Hillarious. LMAO. But I kinda like the song so we don't see eye to eye. ;p It's in O2 jam as well for all those of you who do not know it but do play O2 jam. Personally, I think classical music is one of the most gorrrgeeeoouuussss genres of music there are. But that doesn't stop him from being extremely funny to me. XP

This one is by Flight of the Conchords, another pair of musicians/comedians. Now they are HILLARIOUS. But it all depends on the kind of humour you have la. Hehe. ^^" They have the most adorable and original lines I have ever heard. ROFL.

Both of these videos are courtesy of Ju and her brother Nick, the coolest family of musicians I know. XD
Thanks Ju. For sharing this with me. ^^

Of Lanterns and Hello Kittys.

In conjunction with the Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival. =))

These pictures are of the Latern Festival celebration held in Penang. Got them from Mom.

It's nice to know that they're really getting into the spirit of it over there. Stalls have opened up along Carpenter Street as well, over here in Kuching. But I haven't got any pictures. =((
Wish SPM was already over. Then I could go walk the streets and take part in the festivities of lantern-carrying and bright-eyed awe-ing at the bright lights and colours. I miss the days when my Dad used to take me to pick out a couple of paper lanterns that were to my liking, namely Pokemon decorated ones. XP I was going through the phase. I still love it though. Later on at night, I would pester him to hang up a couple of the tiny lanterns we'd purchased around our home and then he would take me around the block a couple of times, carrying a pink Pokemon lantern at the end of a thin bamboo rotan. Yes, the hassle of lighting the candle in my lantern included, for countless times everytime the wind decided to blow and play a trick on us.

I miss it. Next year. XD I'm so gonna do it next year. We'll see where I'll be by then, I guess.

HAPPY MID-AUTUMN LANTERN FESTIVAL!~

FYI.

Adapted this from Fs. Its an interesting read. Our God is almighty. XD Quote Ju.

Death is certain but the Bible speaks about untimely death! Make a personal reflection about this. Very interesting. It is written in the Bible (Galatians6:7) : 'Be not deceived; God is not mocked : for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Here are some men and womenwho mocked God :

John Lennon (Singer):
Some years before, during hisinterview with an American Magazine, he said:
'Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, Today we are more famous than Him' (1966).
Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.

Tancredo Neves (President of Brazil):
During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency.
Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died.

Cazuza (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet):
During a show in Canecio (Rio deJaneiro), while smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said: 'God, that's for you.'
He died at the age of 32 of AIDS in a horrible manner.

The man who built the Titanic:
After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be. With an ironic tone he said: 'Not even God can sink it'
The result: I think you allknow what happened to the Titanic.

Marilyn Monroe (Actress):
She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show. He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her. After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said: 'I don't need your Jesus'.
A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.

Bon Scott (Singer):
The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang: 'Don't stop me, I'm going down all the way, down the highway to hell'.
On the19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his own vomit.

Campinas (IN 2005):
In Campinas, Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up afriend. The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter holding her hand, who was already seated in the car: 'My Daughter, Go With God And May He Protect You..' She responded: 'Only If He (God) Travels In The Trunk, Cause Inside Here. It's Already Full'
Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died, the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact. The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none were broken.

Christine Hewitt (Jamaican Journalistand entertainer):
She said the Bible (Wordof God) was the worst book ever written. In June 2006 she was found burnt beyond recognition in her motor vehicle.

Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus. Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive.

'JESUS'.

Slow dance with me.

Three days left of MOCK.

Alot of debate going on in my mind lately. In my decisions. Whether or not it'd make me seem needy. Or if it would be perfectly fine just doing so. I'm not sure which voice to listen to. The one that's normal and doesn't over-proportion things but might send me packing on one of my regret trips that are almost impossible to forget, punctuated with utter humiliation or the one that's paranoid over every friggin' aspect of my choices but could save me a totally rash and relationship altering move. Either way, I'm suffering.

'Corner with Love' has this baffling effect on me. It seems to have turned the inanimate faucet in my mind on and now I am near to tears at almost every episode. It's gotta come out one way or the other.

It hit me that my anxiety to leave school has somewhat worn off. I've realized after 11 years spent in an environment so safe and familiar that I am not ready to leave just yet. It's those few months before a major public exam that are the most fun, if you think about it. Sure, the studying part is tough but the upside justifies the stress which would be the chance and time you get to just sit back during free periods at school and hang out with your friends even if you're supposed to be hitting the books.
Julia is right. Public exams originally play the purpose of teaching us the stuff we need to learn. To educate us primarily before we enter the political world, not to stress you out of your hair. So sometimes you just gotta sit back, chill and watch the not-so-green grass grow.

So to all those busting their butts to get a perfect grade point average, save yourself the life-shortening experience of memorizing your textbooks down to its very skeleton. Just take it all in at a moderate pace and still find time to smell the flowers. After all, at the end of the day we just have to let go and let God. Study and pray. (According to Matt that's supposed to be St. Joseph's motto. Or something like that). I like it. Go, St. Joe! ;p

Boohoo.

MOCK's been tiring me out. Straight hours of studying everyday. But I feel better. I finally feel like I'm on track. XD Ironic, ain't it?

Have found the vainest mouse in the world with a real knack for posing. Found it in our attic about a week ago.

I'm ecstatic at the very thought getting SPM over with. Imagining myself walking out of the exam hall. I can't wait. But, at the same time, I'd also be the one whining a few months later about how I miss high school and how it was so much less pressuring than college bla bla bla.. As I always seem to do every time I progress a year. OH WELL.

MOCK me.

MOCK's next week. Ugh.

Sometimes I study and I get distracted. Sometimes I spend too much time on one page. Sometimes I fall low and start pitying myself for being so tired after working hard. But I haven't been working hard. I don't know why I'm tired. What I do, it can barely amount to 1/5 of what I should really be doing. No, I'm not being hard on myself. I would gladly pat myself on the back if I was doing just double of what I'm putting in now. But no. I haven't been working hard. Not at all.

I give give give up!!! Something's keeping my spirits low. I need HELP. I don't know what to do anymore.

I must punish myself. No more staying up late if I stop studying because I'm "tired". YES. It's straight to bed with me.
